I am an experienced back-end data engineer interested in applying my skills to a cause doing social good. 

Although I have worked in a variety of platforms over the years, my experience of late is in search (solr and elasticsearch), distributed data systems (hadoop, hive, presto, spark), and traditional rdbms systems (postgres, mysql, oracle), and dabbling in android development.  I typically write in java or python, but also have experience in a variety of other languages including c, scala, plsql, and javascript. 

That said, I am fine with getting out of my niche development-wise, especially for a good cause.
