Jonathan
Central Standard Time

My name is Jonathan M. Kelly. I am a senior computer science major at Regent University, class of '17. My future academic interests are graduate school research on machine learning, artificial intelligence, Big Data, cybersecurity, professional computing standards, and algorithms. My certification background includes the Microsoft Technology Associate: Software Development Fundamentals.

My technical background consists of the following programming languages:

  • C
  • C++
  • Java
  • Visual Basic
  • ANSI-SQL
  • PL-SQL

Related to the C programming language, my proficiency with parallel and distributive programming includes the following libraries:

  • MPI
  • Pthreads
  • OpenMP

It also consists of the following technologies:

  • Apache Tomcat
  • Visual Studio
  • Microsoft Office (including Access)
  • Oracle Database 11g R2
  • Microsoft Windows
  • Ubuntu Linux desktop
  • Git/GitHub
  • Eclipse

My proficient and strong background in information systems including networks and telecommunications might benefit proposing, engineering, implementing, and maintaining a network solution. My strong background in data structures and algorithms might benefit designing, developing, and implementing applications with the most efficient run-time performances possible. In addition, I have software project management skills that may help in the event that a system requires agile methods, plan-driven management such as the waterfall method, or a combination of agile and plan-driven methods.

For those interested in reading about my approach to computer science, I suggest reading my blog, Systematic Filtration. I hope that I may learn with projects on Social Coder and help communities who would gain long-term benefits from my work. Thank you for your time.
