Data is the basic foundation on which our entire world is being built today. All the systems, organizations, people, systems are interconnected because of data. Data has been growing and continues to grow at a very rapid rate and we are short of skilled individuals who can not only manage this data but also provide insight and meaning from this same data. About 12yrs back when I started my career into the field of Computer Science as an Engineering student, I started to realize the potential of data and value behind managing this system. Hence, I took up Data Management as my concentration in Engineering (in India) and Masters (in US). I started my career as a Data Warehouse Specialist as an Intern in a Payroll company and went to take up DBA as a full time career. I have dealt with a variety of data such as Crime Intel data, Marketing data, Healthcare patient data. I have grown from the position of a Analyst to a Sr. DBA in the 6.5yrs of my work experience. I primarily work on MS softwares - SQL Server, SSIS, SSRS, Visual Studio Dev, Azure and also Java, HTML, CSS and now currently studying Python and Data Sciences. 

I love every aspect about data management and development. I find it intriguing that one strand of data can have so many different insights and sometimes making it impossible to decipher data which infact is derived from systems made by man. My intent to study in the field of Data Science and work as a part of SocialCoder is to help organizations build solutions to manage and make meaning of their own data, to develop value from their data.
