I have more than 12+ years of experience as lecturer in OOP, a Software Engineer and Full Stack developer. I have 10+ years’ experience in mentoring junior developers, designing and developing scalable and testable solutions in both multi-tier and client/server applications. I have worked with various languages such as C#, VB, Scala, Java, R, JavaScript and can learn any new languages. I have more than 8 years of experience in handling large amount of data sets and tuning and optimizing data for better retrieval. Freelance: Big data Engineer                                                                                                         Mar 2017 – Jul 2017

While on a break for personal reasons (health issues related to close relative), I obtained my big data analytics certification at Cornell University and got the opportunity to freelance as a big data engineer. I worked with big data tools such as Flume and MongoDB consuming data for their ingestion pipeline. Data was to be transferred to their MongoDB cluster. I was given the task of helping the company import very large csv files into MongoDB. The project was designed with Scala as the programming language using libraries such as Avro4s and Reactive Mongo

 

Fanuc Robotics: Senior Big Data Engineer                                                                            July 2016 – March 2017

  • Played the dual role of the big data and analytics engineer and also as a full stack developer for the company’s web portal.
  • I was hired to redesign the big data platform and to use the right tools to optimize the process of Robot analytics such as predicting the health and maintenance details concentrating on areas such as motor health, emergency wear and tear analysis caused by various torque forces applied during an abrupt e-stop, servo off analysis (servo motors stable health during power off), health of the servogun in welding robots, and the general health of painting robots. I have used various tools such as MySql, Sqoop, Hive, Impala, HBASE. MongoDB, and Solr to improve the processing time on very large data sets.
  • I have also created prototypes of analytics with loosely defined complex ideas and to transfer then into quality solutions using tools such as Drools, Spark and Talend to improve the severe bottle neck in the existing batch processing framework.
