I am a PhD student in the field of Computer Science and the areas of Graph Mining and Social Network Analysis in particular. I have over 8 years of professional experience working with Java, Ruby on Rails, and Python. In addition, I have significant hands-on experience with relational (PostgreSQL, Oracle, MySQL), and NoSQL (MongoDB, elasticsearch) databases. I would be extremely interested to participate in projects related to data science. The causes I care about include (in no particular order): poverty, education, health services, disaster relief, the environment, and local communities.
