I am a research consultant at a technology start-up, that is working towards improving quality of healthcare by leveraging innovative technologies. My current role involves technology scouting and business development. Working at a start-up gives the opportunity to play various roles, so keeping tack of funding calls and preparing funding applications and business proposals is a skill that I acquired in the last few years.

Prior to my start-up experience, I pursued my PhD in robotics at University of Hertfordshire. I designed and developed algorithms on robotic platforms to make the upper-limb rehabilitation training semi-autonomous. Used various programming languages and scientific data analysis tools during my research years. Published my research in several popular scientific journals and presented at workshops and conferences.

Invited reviewer for scientific journals, IEEE conferences and technology blogs

During my corporate career in IT, I worked with global clients across multi-cultural teams in both development and support roles. I acquired the skills of working on several software platforms using various programming languages. I was also involved in developing and conducting induction programmes to end users and graduate recruits.

I am active volunteer for social causes. I run clubs to impart problem solving skills in children through Origami and puzzles. I was elected as a governor for a primary school in 2015 and I recently played a key role in recruiting our new Head Teacher. I was chairperson of Friends of Taunton Library and one of the initiators of the group. We organised various activities and successfully raised funds for Taunton and its satellite libraries in the wake of budget cuts to Somerset libraries.

Please get in touch if you think my skills and interests are of use for your causes, I'll be pleased to collaborate.

Kind Regards
