I am a Lead Fullstack Software Engineer with a passion for building high performance and resilient Web/Mobile Software Applications, and very much interested to contribute my skills/experience to build Software that benefits meaningful social causes in my free time. I have experience working with remote teams both in my professional work and with non-profit organizations, and enjoy the exchange with both senior and junior collaborators who are passionate about using their coding skills for a good cause. For example, about 4 years ago I contributed as volunteer to the development of the Web Frontend of the Disaster-Accountability-Project (thanks to Ed Guiness) as I have a extensive experience with the Angular Framework.

Professionally, I have over 10 years experience programming and 15 years scientific research experience from academia (Neuroscience). I have a strong background in Web/Mobile application development, including realtime processing, data analysis using modern software architecture such as distributed Microservices and Event-driven communication.
