For web apps, I work with Java on the back end, with Angular 2/4 and Bootstrap, or JSF for the client. Sorry, no Ruby or Python!

I spent two very rewarding months last spring at the refugee camp on Samos, with Samos Volunteers (also on Facebook). Since my return, I've developed a simple application for managing their lending library. It's a responsive Angular web app hosted on Google App Engine, with Google Datastore for the database. It's a great free platform for low volume applications.
